We went on a long European trip to London, Paris, Lyon, coast of France, and then greek islands. I have received the iPad as a graduation gift and wanted to take it with me on a trip. I have loaded this and four other guides from mobi for the trip. The guide were very good. I have already written the review for the London guide. The Paris guide was also very good with maps and good attraction guide. Finding an attraction article in the guide was easy. I usually sued a to z index. For example to find the Alexander III bridge, I would search for it in the a to z index and then click on a link to see a complete article about the bridge. We also tried one restaurant from the guide and it was an excellent one.

Travel Paris, France – illustrated city guide, phrasebook, and maps. FREE general info, basic phrasebook, and a map in the trial version (Mobi Travel)
This is a refreshing and truly helpful guide to the beautiful City of Lights. The way it is written and organized makes you feel empowered to take on this grand city and feel completely at home. There is everything from gastronomic to romantic tips, to practical Metro data to lovely side trips that give you a satisfying big picture of France. I think this ebook is a big improvement over those “traditional” travel guides and I heartily rate “Mobilereference Guide to Paris” as a “buy”.
Enjoy this lovely guide and Bon voyage!

I am just back from Paris where I have taken my Kindle 2. Well, first of all there is no reception – the Kindle does not connect to a wireless network. So whatever books you want to buy you need to buy them before leaving abroad. I was lucky to download the Paris travel guide beforehand. The guide has a lot of information and is well organized. I found myself using the guide a lot. The guide has readable maps, a good phrasebook, nice photographs of attractions. The feature I found most useful is “text-to-speech”. I would go to a museum or a building and just turn on the text-to-speech feature. The guide really becomes an audio guide with the text-to-speech feature.
